Deadline set
If nothing happens till' tommorow morning, the roster will not change a bit. For now, the deal is on the table and Bob is still waiting for an answer. He has set a deadline for the trading team to accept the offer. That deadline is tommorow morning at 12 PM.

How exactly does this clear enough cap room to sign a UFA? We trade 1 for 1 and then sign 1. Guess Bonk is leaving then. Great info. Bonk has only been leaving on every website since Dumont became available. Why does everyone feel a need to sign him anyways?

yah, i say its bonk leaving for washington and a no name coming..a minor trade to a shitty team in the east and dumont..and why isnt the latter signed..i read last tuesday that he would choose something by last thursday* 48 hours..hence i strongly believe the habs are making a strong pitch for him..they listen to us the fans, the media and well we influence them. remember the fans were dying to see a star like shanahan or elias..gainey tried anything to grab them...so lets wait and see what the magician has

Bob Gainey, one of the most respected GMs in the game, is NOT going to gab about possible trades with buddies on the phone. Especially ones that are on the table for gods sake.
There is a close circle around him that knows I'm sure.. people he works with. This is business. Are we not going to give "Bobby" the credit he deserves and think he's teasing his friends with hints on the phone like a child?

I'm not saying that nothing is going down.. any GM will make a move if it improves your team. We just aren't going to find out about it like this.
