Told you I'd be back!

Hello and welcome again to Canadiensinsider! Last summer, Bob Gainey failed to pull off a trade, but now, with the Canadiens long drought and the trade deadline just 2 weeks away, I'm back for some more details from Bob!

I'll be posting messages right after I get to talk to Bob.

Good Bye!

Expect Bob Gainey to sign a UFA before the end of the week.

I guess this is it for me. I have nothing else to report, my blog will be open for you to comment on it and I'll come and give you some of my thoughts from time to time.
Hope you enjoyed some"August Hockey" on my brief blog!

Good Bye !

Rejected Offer

Alright Guys...
As you all know, the Capitals have rjected Bob's offer. Bob will not offer any deals until the start of the season. But the UFA will be signed as soon as possible. I got word by Gainey that Tanabe or Dumont were his last two on the list. He will choose the better option for his team.

I'll be taking your questions for the next 5 minutes.

Gave him a call

Alright guys! Ready for some meat?
I just called Bob and he told me he was very happy and very close to a deal. He also told me to keep contected to the web and updated sports channels. He said his moves are usually anounced on mornings instead of nights.

I remember when Gabriel Morency reported that Souray requested a trade. Well, Bob had a long talk with him and his agent, and convinced Souray to stay in Montreal. He also told him he would be joigning his girl soon, but after the beggining of the season. (I guess right at the deadline)

Conclusion: Souray will not be traded.

Met with Bobby

Alright guys, it's been a heck of a summer with all these rumors about the habs. But, believe it or not, I am a good friend of Bob Gainey and he's forbidden me to say anything about the moves he's working on. Therefore, I'll keep this private and confidential.

Bobby (That's what his friends call him), met up with me a week ago, and he seemed exhausted, so I asked him about what he's working on, and he claimed he was about to contact and sign a UFA just before his partners set the deadline. He added, a trade might come before the signing to clear some cap space. The trade would bring the Canadiens future additions.
